Tax Sale
Every third Monday in June, Iowa counties hold an annual tax sale for unpaid real estate taxes in their county. This sale generates revenue to take the place of tax money not paid by the property owners throughout the year. Funds are provided for government operation and interest is charged on the unpaid amounts.
Attached is a partial list of our tax certificate portfolio. Changes to this listing will occur frequently so please check back for updates. We welcome brokers, tax lien investors, government agencies, non-profit agencies and private parties to purchase our tax certificates. When calling, e-mailing or faxing your inquiry please reference the county and the certificate number.
Please note there will be a $100 assignment fee payable to the County Treasurer. This procedure transfers ownership of the Tax Certificate to your name.
